COOX, a home services booking platform, has raised $125,000 in a Seed funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures, an angel investment firm based in Gurugram. The startup plans to use the funds to expand to 40 cities, doubling its current reach. It will also increase its marketing efforts and integrate AI to enhance technology and streamline operations.
COOX offers a wide range of services, including professional chefs, domestic cooks, bartenders, waiters, cleaners, appliance rentals, crockery rentals, ingredients delivery, event decoration, and live singers, catering to events like house parties, weddings, and corporate gatherings. Since 2019, COOX has served over 5 lakh customers with a diverse menu of 15+ cuisines and 500+ dishes, ranging from Indian to Continental.
With over 3,000 trained professionals, COOX’s vision is to modernize home services through technology and create employment opportunities for gig workers in the hospitality and events sectors. The company’s mission, "Hosts should enjoy as much as the guests," reflects its focus on elevating both the customer experience and job opportunities.
The founding team includes Akshat Gupta (Co-Founder & CEO), an MBA graduate from IMT Hyderabad with over 10 years of experience in startups and multinational corporations; Abhishek Gupta (Co-Founder & CMO), an MBA from IMT Ghaziabad with over six years of expertise in marketing and operations; and Rajat Johri (Co-Founder & CTO), a B.Tech graduate from KIET with over eight years in technical and leadership roles.
Currently, COOX operates in 20 cities across India, providing more than 10 on-demand event hosting and house party services. These include professional chefs, bartenders, waiters, kitchen cleaners, ingredients delivery, appliance rentals, crockery rentals, event decoration, and live singers. They also offer a monthly subscription for domestic cooks, addressing both cooking and event hosting needs.
