Amazon India is collaborating with Startup India, under the aegis of the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), to support startups in building and scaling their businesses through e-commerce.

Key Initiatives:

  • E-commerce Onboarding:Eligible startups can register on Amazon India’s marketplace through a dedicated page on the Startup India portal. Amazon will provide:
    • Onboarding support
    • Access to domestic markets
    • Mentorship from Amazon leaders
    • Go-to-market and logistics guidance
  • Empowering Women Entrepreneurs:Amazon, through its Saheli program, will empower women-led small and medium businesses by offering:
    • Tailored learning programs
    • Access to services such as Amazon Pay, Amazon Business, AWS, and more Covered industries include:
    • Fashion, F&B, Textiles, Automotive, Agriculture, and more
  • BHASKAR Initiative:Amazon and Startup India will promote the Bharat Startup Knowledge Access Registry (BHASKAR) to enhance collaboration among startups, investors, mentors, and government bodies within the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Sanjiv, Joint Secretary at DPIIT, emphasized that this collaboration aims to empower Indian startups and drive economic development through entrepreneurship and innovation.
